I have been in the industry since 2004. I have worked for the past 15 years in downtown Baltimore but recently decided to bring my expertise closer to home.
I specialize in lived‑in color and dimensional blonding—techniques that allow every client’s hair to look naturally sun‑kissed, seamless, and uniquely their own.
My passion for continued education has led me to earn certifications in multiple hair extension methods, giving me the ability to create customized transformations ranging from subtle volume to dramatic length.
Whether I’m crafting a soft, low‑maintenance blend or a bold, multi‑tonal blonde, my goal is always the same: hair that enhances confidence, complements lifestyle, and grows out beautifully. I’m committed to delivering an elevated, personalized experience for every guest who sits in my chair.
I grew up in Baltimore County and I currently reside in Glyndon with my family. I am excited to be back in my own neighborhood and cant wait to bring my passion for hair to the Main street area.

My name is Amanda and I've been doing hair in the Glyndon area for over 11 years. All my life I wanted to be an artist but could never find the right medium until I started doing hair. I love getting to know my clients and coming up with a look that compliments their style, personalities, and lifestyle!
I am always taking classes to expand my knowledge so I can bring all the latest and greatest trends and techniques back to my clients. In the last few years alone, I have taken several extensive color theory, cutting and styling classes with Redken, Keune, and Pulp Riot. In October of 2022 I traveled to Parma, Italy for intensive color and cutting classes with Davines and their creative directors, Tom Connell and Ashleigh Hodges. I am also extension certified and love applying those techniques to give people the hair they’ve always wanted.
When I’m not behind the chair I love trying new restaurants, going for weekend getaways around the DMV, cooking elaborate meals and spending time with family and friends.

Hi! I’m Barbara. I’ve been a hairstylist for 26 years, and I still love what I do every day. I create customized haircuts and color for my clients, drawing on my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park. That background has been invaluable to my approach to shape, balance, and creativity behind the chair.
I specialize in short, precision cuts as well as long, layered styles. I stay current in my craft with ongoing education, including Kuene cutting and coloring courses and Redken Shades EQ training, which I use in my work daily.
When I’m not in the salon, you can find me spending time with my husband, exploring new restaurants around Baltimore, or keeping up with the latest makeup trends.

Hi, I’m Mel, a Senior Cosmetologist with 5 years of experience specializing in low-maintenance, lived-in dimensional color. I’m all about creating hair that looks effortless, grows out beautifully, and fits your lifestyle.
I’ve trained with Bellami, as well as Keune, Redken, and Davines to stay on top of color trends and extension techniques that actually work behind the chair. Whether it’s a subtle shift or a full transformation, I focus on customizing each look so it feels like you, just a little more elevated.
When I’m not in the salon, I’m probably hanging out with my boyfriend and our cat or listening to Giggly Squad like it’s a second job- Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner are basically my spirit animals. I love what I do, and I love making people feel good in their hair even more.

Hi, I’m Kelsey!
I’m a small-town girl from Pennsylvania with a big love for all things beauty. I’ve been in the industry since 2020 and specialize in lived-in blonding, bright blondes, and extensions. I’m also passionate about special occasion styling and love creating updos for all types of events.
As a certified Bellami stylist in all methods including invisible bead, I’m always keeping up with the latest trends and techniques. I’ve continued my education through advanced training classes with Bellami, Redken, Davines, and Keune—because I believe great hair starts with continuous education. The classes I’ve attended include: Keune color 101 and 102 level class, Keune cutting level 1 and 2 class, Dimensional blonding in house training in 2023, Bellami certified in hand tied and machine tied wefts.
When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me cooking for my husband, spending time with family and friends, shopping, or hanging out with my cat, Muffin!

I was born in a small town of Minnesota and started loving the hair industry from as young as I can remember!

When I’m not at work you can find me either at the gym, trying out new cooking recipes or going roller skating with my daughters.

I graduated from The Temple in Frederick, Maryland in early 2025 and have been dedicated to growing and refining my skills ever since. I have a true love for all things hair and nails, and I’m so excited to be part of the team at The Salon on Main!
While I’m always happy to create any look you’re dreaming of, I especially love precision cuts for both men and women and creating beautiful, bright blondes. Nails are actually what sparked my passion for cosmetology, and I stay up to date on the latest Gel-X and builder gel trends — I’ll never say no to adding a fun design!
When I’m not in the salon, you can find me shopping, enjoying the outdoors, reading a good book, or planning my next trip. I’m also a big animal lover!

I'm Avery and I grew up just minutes from the salon in Glyndon, Maryland. I currently attend Salisbury University, but enjoy working at the salon on all of my holiday breaks and during the summer. I also enjoy strawberry acai refreshers if you ever find yourself at Starbucks before heading to the salon.
